A simple dream — the tastiest brews, a little bit of whimsy, served from a truck to the streets of Joburg.
The kind of person who plans holidays around cafés and collects little espresso cups they don't strictly need.
After sipping through countless cups, one thought kept coming back: Joburg deserved something warmer. Less polished, more personal. So an espresso machine was bought, a grinder, a notebook full of ideas — and Oke began.
it all started with a love (obsession) for coffee
We're starting small. Mobile. A little bar on wheels, popping up in different corners of the city — wherever the morning takes us.
New neighbourhoods, new faces, new playlists every week — and we get to meet you on your turf, outside the office or between yoga and brunch.
thoughtfully roasted beans, and good vibes in every sip.
— that's the whole brief
Oke is meant to feel like the friend with the good, homey coffee — only it's a truck, it's outside, and it knows your order.
Double shot, black, no words needed.
Flat white, corner spot, laptop open till lunch.
In slippers. Always a chat. Sometimes the dog.
Every cup we pour starts at a small Durban roastery called Humble Coffee — an all-women team who've been roasting up in KZN since 2017. They fire up their machine twice a week and the beans are on our bench within days.
The Oke Blend is a medium roast built for espresso: notes of milk chocolate, brown sugar, and a green apple bite that keeps it honest. Humble only roast medium — they reckon that's what lets a coffee's real flavour come through. We're on the same page.
